New Moon in Aquarius, 1st February 2022 at 12 degrees. Breaking Free!

Powerful revolutionary and evolutionary forces are brewing at this New Moon, stirring up our life force and our desire for freedom, that serves as a catalyst to break with the shackles of the past. The Saturn-Uranus square that has been dominating the astrology of 2021, calling for radical change, awakening and reinvention, makes one last powerful aspect at this New Moon. Although no longer exact, this challenging aspect calls for any last changes to be made that have kept us stuck and stagnant. 

Venus now direct, followed by Mercury moving direct just two days after the New Moon, give us a unique chance now, to see things from an entirely new perspective, helping us to identify how and why we have been stuck, finally enabling us to break through the chains of fear, negativity and stagnation. We can use these energies as a catalyst to initiate change and expansion in our lives.

With all Planets in direct motion from the 3rd February until the 28th April, we can let the power of this energy lend us the wings that we lack.

As the Saturn-Uranus square will no longer be in a challenging aspect for the rest of 2022, we will see the restrictions of the past two years begin to loosen and the shake ups give way for more calm, on a personal and collective level. We can also expect the Corona Virus and the restrictions surrounding it, slowly fade into the background in 2022.

Mercury in Aquarius retrograde, has given us the power of self-awareness and therefore more emotional intelligence, helping us to detach from and release, toxic thoughts and emotional patterns.

What have you liberated yourself from and what do you need to keep on releasing and letting go in order to move forward?

Uranus in aspect to the New moon, represents freedom from our all too fixed ideas and to what we have been holding onto for too long. This can be negative thoughts, old habits or staying with people or in situations that we have out grown. Uranus teaches the gift of non-attachment. .

As we learn to practice non-attachment, we can accept what comes allowing it to leave when it’s time. Trusting that what’s meant for us will come to us effortlessly.

At this New Moon, take the time to reflect upon what you have been holding onto for too long and consciously work on releasing and letting go.

Letting go isn’t about having the courage to release the past – it’s about having the wisdom and strength to embrace the present and the person you have evolved too.
