Mars in Taurus conjunct Uranus, 20th January 2021. Explosive!
Mars conjunct Uranus is an explosive combination that can shock and surprise and shake the very ground that we stand upon. A culmination of energies that are igniting the impulse for rebellion, revolution, and change. These energies have been progressively building since the New moon in Capricorn on the 12th Jan. Since then, Uranus has turned direct on the 14th Jan after a five-month retrograde period and is therefore currently exceptionally powerful. The dynamic energies of Uranus have expanded even more as he came into confrontation with Jupiter on the 17th Jan.
Emotions run high on the 20th January when the Moon in Taurus joins both Mars and Uranus in a standoff to four other planets in Aquarius. The explosive energies will further expand their potential, on the 22nd Jan when Mars makes an exact square to Jupiter.
This extremely concentrated energy can be likened to a wrecking ball that clears the path ahead for the new, as strong will, stubbornness and traditionalist/conservative ideas (Taurus) pit against the Aquarian progressive, innovative and irrepressible energies, that will dominant our lives until 2044.

It is a true radical revolution of values, as society and governments are being shocked into motion as a result of the events of 2020. Replacing rigid, self-serving and complacent attitudes with the sudden urgency to address and implement more fairness, justice and humanitarian values that will continue throughout 2021 as the Saturn-Uranus square of 2021 is initiating radical restructuring.
Jupiter is the planet of wisdom and good fortune who expands everything he touches. Uranus is the planet of awakening, shocks and surprises, who shakes us up in order to wake us up. Together they are expanding our inner and outer horizons and comfort zones, for revolutionary change. It’s time for us to step up to the next level.
The tense energy of Mars, Jupiter and Uranus gives great initiative and pushes us to take action now and embrace change. A lack of taking action and resistance could result in feeling unsettled as well as irritability. What areas of your life have you put on hold for far too long?
We need to be adaptable and open-minded. Don’t get stuck into how it HAS to be and how it all WAS. Those things don’t apply anymore. We are karmically being asked to grow beyond our triggers and stuckness and to change our negative rhetoric to ourselves and any unwillingness to change.
As resistance meets radical progressive change, don’t let yourself be pulled into the storm, but use the energies to put real distance between anything that’s holding you back.

We need to give our energy a positive direction and a healthy outlet, especially through creative and physical activity, as the negative side of this combination can be too much-misplaced anger, frustration and aggression.

However, the danger is impatience and erratic, impulsive behaviour. It’s better to wait and let everything settle down before making important decisions when the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place and we can see the bigger picture and the right path to take.
It’s time to express the infinitely magnificent being that you are, that can never be put in a box, category or kept small to simply live up to other people’s expectations. Uranus together with Jupiter reminds us that we are here to grow and evolve beyond all limitations within and without.
Uranus the revolutionary and bringer of change together with Mars are pushing the reset button to enable us to live a life of inner and outer freedom based on truth and justice. They awaken your need for freedom; and when Mars meets up with Uranus, the freedom you need comes in the form of self-expression and independent direction.
With so much vibrating energy, we need to be able to direct energy toward goals and activities that excite us, without being held back by worries over what others will think of you. Failing to do so might mean a lot of nervous energy, expressed as erratic behaviours that disrupt (rather than energise) others.
