Jupiter conjunct Saturn, 21st December 2020.The great conjunction and the Age of Aquarius. The future is here.
Jupiter and Saturn conjunction at 0 degree on the 21st December 2020.
One of the most important astrological events of our lifetime is about to take place on the 21st of December, the same day as the Winter Solstice, when both Jupiter and Saturn change signs from Capricorn into Aquarius and join together in perfect alignment (conjunction) at the exact same degree of the Zero Point.
We often hear of important astrological events. This one, however, is a once in a Century occurrence, one that will have an immense effect on humanity and our planet Earth for the next 200 years in particular and beyond.
This rare celestial event is called the great conjunction by astronomers and astrologers alike. There are many reasons why this occurrence is so phenomenal. The first being that the two biggest planets in our Solar system haven’t been this close together for 800 years. They will be so close together, that they will look like a double Planet or one great Star in the sky. It is thought that a similar alignment was possibly what was described as the Star of Bethlehem, as data shows this alignment took place 3 times in one year in 7 BC.
Which in turn could well have been the harbinger of the 2000 year phase of the age of Pisces that was to follow. An age dominated by religion and blind faith. Now, in 2020, the very same alignment could well also be the harbinger for the much talked about Age of Aquarius. Astrological ages proceed in the opposite direction (retrograde) therefore, the Age of Aquarius follows the Age of Pisces.
A new Age lasts approx 2150 years and while astrologers can’t quite agree on the *exact timing of the transition of the ages, there is every reason to assume that we are indeed witnessing the shift into the new Aquarian age.
The clues lie in the events that follow the great conjunction. Firstly, the great conjunction takes place at 0 degrees on the Winter Solstice. Both the Solstice and the Point of 0 degrees represent rebirth and a new beginning. The Solstice finds its ancient meaning as symbolic, of the rebirth of the Sun. And the Point of 0 degrees is known to be a supercharged, critical degree in astrology, a reboot that initiates a new and important cycle.
The Zero point is where everything is available for manifestation and nothing is impossible. All possibilities exist at once.
In addition to this, Saturn in Aquarius until 2024 will lead us directly into a 19 year period of Pluto in Aquarius from 2024 until 2043, when Pluto changes signs after a 16 year period in Capricorn. Since Pluto is a slow-moving planet the last time Pluto was in the sign of Aquarius was in 1798.
Another and perhaps the most important sign of the shift into the Age of Aquarius, is that the great conjunction in Aquarius initiates a new 200-year cycle dominated by air signs. The great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn takes place every 20 years and sets the tone for the collective consciousness.
In the past 200 years, the great conjunctions have all been in earth signs that represent materialism. From December 21st, the great conjunctions will all be in the air signs of Aquarius, Gemini and Libra for the next 200 years.
This means a more liberal, fair, humanitarian age, we will witness great advances in science, technology and justice for the good of the collective whole and our planet earth. Greed, materialism and power will no longer be the major influence. It signalises the beginning of a new era for humanity. A shift away from a 200 year period dominated by materialistic values, greed and depletion of our planet to a more awakened consciousness to the needs of humanity as a whole, one focused on equality and fairness.
We can no longer ignore the plundering and depletion of our Earths resources that has lead to climate change and the danger of new Pandemics.
In the coming years, we will witness fast paced innovation in technology, science, medicine, new forms of clean energy that will help humanity and our planet earth thrive. New progressive ways of thinking and perspectives, to find new solutions to old problems. There will be more focus on social justice, human rights for a more fair and equal society.
It will be a chance for mankind to heal collectively and bring in a new and fairer social order for many and not just a few.
Astrologers have observed throughout time, a rise and fall of leaders, royalty and governments who have abused power, during the time of a great conjunction, as they bring on the new order.
“We Need Leaders Not In Love With Money But In Love With Justice. Not In Love With Publicity But In Love With Humanity.” Martin Luther King Jr.
This is nothing short of an inner and outer revolution and awakening on a personal and global level
Jupiter and Saturn will bring on a time of opportunity and growth. Saturn will stay in the sign of Aquarius for the next three years and during this time will build strong new foundations and new structures for the new age, while Jupiter in Aquarius will sow the seeds of good fortune, optimism and expansion during his one year stay in Aquarius.
At the same time, we will see a revolutionary quality to 2021, as Uranus, the revolutionary planet currently in Taurus will make three challenging aspects to Saturn in Feb, June and December. We can expect to see more demonstrations and disruptions worldwide, as people are no longer prepared to be repressed and accept massive inequality. Democracy, freedom and fairness are no longer being taken for granted and is a fight worth fighting for, as Pluto in Capricorn is still purging and bringing to light, the corruption and greed that prevails throughout our governments, societies and big corporations.
The fabric of our new society will become even more tightly woven when Pluto enters Aquarius in 2024 until 2043.
When we look back on the last two times Pluto was in Aquarius we can see just how much changed during these times for the betterment of humanity, fairness, innovation and science. Previously, Pluto was in Aquarius between 1777 and 1798. During this time, after the USA had declared independence from the British, the first Constitution of the United States of America was created in 1787. The founding fathers based the constitution on the equality of man and human rights and later the Bill of Rights (1791).
The constitution was the first civic document that met a modern definition of human rights. Philosophically, the Declaration stressed two themes: individual rights and the right of revolution. These ideas became widely held by Americans and spread internationally as well, influencing, in particular, the French Revolution. There was a push for revolutionary human rights throughout Europe, resulting in the french revolution in 1793. It was also a time of major advances in chemistry, technology and engineering. This was also the period of the industrial revolution.
Going back even further the time before that, Pluto was in Aquarius between 1532 – 1552 the first true Scientific Revolution occurred which started in 1543 and ended in 1687.
It marked the emergence of modern science during the early modern period when developments in mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology and chemistry transformed the views of society about nature. Henry V111 declared himself head of the Church in 1531 and was excommunicated in 1533 by the Pope.
On a personal level, the horizons ahead look much lighter and brighter. We can indeed be optimistic, as perhaps some of the most difficult planetary alignments of our lifetime in 2020 are coming to an end. While this period has accelerated our soul’s evolution, it has been perhaps one of the most intensive periods of our lifetime.
We have a unique chance to see things from an entirely new perspective, helping us to identify how and why we have been stuck, finally enabling us to break through the chains of fear, negativity and stagnation.
It’s time to leave the past behind and reinvent yourself. Celebrate your uniqueness and your individuality.
We can use these energies as a catalyst to initiate change and expansion in our lives.
The sign of Aquarius is known for their revolutionary qualities and we have a chance to revolutionise the way we think, live and love.
We can tap into this exuberant energy to feel good and uplift ourselves and others.
The great conjunction takes place just 7 days after the total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius, so that opportunities can suddenly present themselves now, quite out of the blue, including disruptions to our daily life. It’s all part of the plan of the great conjunction and Uranus in Taurus, to shake us up out of our comfort zones. It’s important to stay flexible, open to new ideas and prepare to think out of the box.
The freedom to evolve and be yourself in all things and will take priority.
When being faced with major decisions let the truth of your free spirit guide you.
“The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it – basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them.“-Charles Bukowski

*Roughly every 2,150 years the sun’s position at the time of the vernal equinox will have moved into a new zodiacal constellation. However, the 12 zodiacal constellations, as defined in modern astronomy, are not uniform in size, leading some astrologers to believe that the corresponding ages should also vary in duration.
