As Mercury stations direct on the 3rd of November we slowly emerge from the deep and introspective journey to the depths of Scorpio’s deep waters and to our own inner workings of our subconscious mind. Analysing our hearts, true purpose and priorities in life that matter most. It has been a time of re-envisioning, reassessing and reinvention.

We have gone through a journey of deep transformation, a metamorphosis, as Scorpio, the alchemist has worked his magic. As we too, have discovered our magic, treasures, wisdom and power within.

After a three week retrograde period,we slowly come forth with greater understanding, wisdom and awareness and perhaps most importantly greater self-knowledge and authenticity, enabling us to better align our lives with our hearts true desires and purpose.

Mercury stations direct shortly after the Taurus Full Moon conjunct Uranus, igniting our awareness. Indeed it has been a journey of awakening as Mercury in Scorpio first stationed retrograde in opposition to the Planet Uranus, the awakener and will again, on the 17th November.

While we slowly gain clarity, our journey is still unfolding until the 20th of November which marks the end of the Mercury shadow period, when we will finally begin to see the bigger picture.

Decisions we need to make as well as issues around our relationships will come under serious review as Mercury stations direct in Libra the sign of relationships before re-entering Scorpio on the 10th November, immediately making a hard aspect to Saturn in Capricorn from the 1st to the 10th of November.

Saturn in Capricorn teaches us the lessons of self-mastery, responsibility of self and the importance of taking the reigns of life into our own hands, defining what we want and setting goals and our priorities in life. Saturn’s focus on our relationships to our self and others, will further intensify as Venus in Libra makes a hard aspect to Pluto on the 15th Nov and then to Saturn on the 19th Nov. It can be a passionate time, taking our love to a deeper level, but any issues of an imbalance of power in all of our relationships or lack of commitment can suddenly reach a critical point.

At the same time however, Libra wants balance and harmony so we have a chance to restore any imbalance within and with others. Love is in focus but most importantly, self-love and whether or not we are honoring our own needs and desires.

Our passions and drive will further be heightened as Mars in Aries will also turn direct on the 13th of November and Jupiter makes a conjunction to Pluto on the 12th. We will regain more energy, drive and optimism, and may feel the need to take impulsive action. Pluto and Jupiter possess great energy and power as well as abundance and financial gain, opportunities may knock, but we may have difficulty giving this newfound power and energy constructive direction.

It would be wise to resist the urge to make hot-headed decisions, especially when made out of anger or blind passion as we may not yet have gained sight of the whole picture just yet. This is an intense and critical week in both the positive and negative sense, depending on how we can channel this energy. By the 20th November the energies will begin to settle and we will begin to gain more clarity, as Mercury ends the shadow period.

The coming Lunar Eclipse on the 30th of November can, however, help to put all the missing pieces of the puzzle together, opening a door to our destined path ahead and a light at the end of the tunnel, leading the way into the beginning of a new and lighter era. Especially marked by the rare and auspicious meeting of Saturn and Jupiter at 0 degrees on the winter solstice on the 21st December. Both having changed signs from Capricorn to Aquarius.

A defining gift emerges from the intense energies of November, an awakened awareness of the power of choice that we possess, the power of self-knowledge and the importance of living authentically.

In order to be authentic we have to at first know ourselves. Going on a journey of self-discovery is perhaps the most important journey you will ever take. The rewards are immense, we learn to stand self-assured, confident and can easily cut out the path ahead through life’s many crossroads and turning points that require major decisions at every turn.

With self-knowledge, you know your light, your shadows and how to make them work together to produce the best version of yourself. You have learned to fully embrace all sides of who you are and love yourself. You have a heightened awareness and consciousness about yourself and others.

Envisioning our life based on our true inner needs and desires and making the right decisions to procure them, becomes part of our second nature, as so to, having the ability to set healthy boundaries and recognising when you need to set them, before an important line has been crossed. All of this can lead to the ultimate evolutionary state of enlightenment. For me, astrology is indeed one of the best tools for self-knowledge and understanding of others.

We awaken to the parts of ourselves that have been defined by society and the expectations of others. We learn to recognise what no longer aligns to our true hearts desire.

All of which leads to a feeling of empowerment and knowing that we alone can take destiny into our own hands and determine the path ahead.
