Neptune in astrology represents the longing to transcend from all (earthly) limitations and become One with everything in a state of total trust and love.
Wherever Neptune is found in your chart you will not be able to see things clearly, from a realistic/materialistic point of view. It’s like you are wearing rose-colored glasses and see the ideal potential of what could be, rather than the reality of the current situation. These are also areas in which you can experience bliss and a feeling of Oneness with life.

Neptune rules the sign of Pisces and spends 14 years in each Sign. Neptune has once again come home to his own sign of Pisces and is therefore particularly potent.

We have seen a surge of interest in spiritually and more sensitivity and compassion to personal and Global issues since Neptune entered Pisces in 2012 and will continue to see until Neptune leaves Pisces in 2025.

While Neptune is idealistic, it can also engender areas of self- deception that can prevent us from seeing the possibility of creating the true ideal and turning our dreams into reality.

Many mystics, artists and healers have a strong Neptune/Pisces signature in their natal chart.

Keywords for Neptune, positive expression and that we need to embrace:

Creative imagination, bliss, surrender, compassion, idealism, sensitivity, faith, empathy, creativity, glamour, ethereal, truth and honesty, facing our fears, meditation, Divine Love, mysticism, tolerant, non-judgemental, awareness of subtle energies, unconditional love of self and others, hope, a sense of magic, inspiration, transcendence, romantic, healer, visionary, joy, gentleness, innocence, purity, humble, higher vibration, forgiveness, healthy boundaries, youthfulness, prophetic visions, psychic abilities and Oneness.

Keywords for Neptune, negative expression that we need to release.

Illusion/ delusion of self and others, denial, fog, confusion, trust issues, unhealthy escapism, (drugs, alcohol, excessive sleeping, addictions), gullible, fantasy, confusion, deception, fear, procrastination, feeling the victim, depression, lack of self love, rescuer complex, co-dependency, lack of strong identity, without healthy boundaries, wants to see the good in everything and everyone all the time, disappointment, feelings of hopelessness, illusion of separation.

The challenge of Neptune is to not allow your yearning for the ideal to detract you from the experience of what is really happening in the moment. Be sure you are seeing the reality of the way things are in the situation, and then work on a practical level to create the ideal you seek.

The Goal of Neptune is enlightenment and compassion – the opening of your heart to the experience of ongoing, uninterrupted pleasure and bliss through recognizing that “ALL of this is me”. The on-going recognition of Oneness with all.

Neptune dissolves boundaries in order to merge and become One with all, helping us to let go of the delusion of separation and fear based, false Ego.

We need to be of this world, yet not of it. To remember that we are souls having a human experience.

To reconnect to our inner knowing and spiritual side, which is an innate desire in everyone, when not Consciously acknowledged can take forms of Neptune’s negative side of depression, denial, unhealthy escapism, addiction and a constant unrequited yearning and dissatisfaction with what one already has.

Neptune helps us to see the bigger picture. To let go of what we can’t control and trust that the Universe ultimately has a bigger plan for our highest good even if it doesn’t seem immediately apparent .

In our personal lives as well as globally and politically, we need to base our decisions and actions on compassion for the good of the whole. And not fall prey to deception, fear, delusion and manipulation.

Where there is pain, suffering, hatred and fear, the root cause is a lack of love and compassion of self and others.

Humanity is at an awakening and decisive turning point in time.
It’s time to address and change the lack of compassion and Humanitarian values in our Politics, Corporate greed/control and destruction of our Planet Earth. And use Neptune’s visionary abilities to create a better World for us all and to raise our consciousness and vibration.

Neptune’s message, is one of Love and Unity instead of Hate and division.

Neptune rules our Conscience and empathy.

The last time Neptune was in Pisces was 1848.
At the time there was a global push for more compassion and humanitarian values and the abolishment of Slavery. Resulting in the American civil war in 1861 while Neptune was still in Pisces.
