Lunar Eclipse in Libra, 23rd March.Looking into the mirror of truth, revealing our delusions

Brigitte Bardot on the set of the 1965 western, “Viva Maria!”.

The Lunar eclipse in Libra is asking us to Look into the mirror of truth, revealing our delusions. While the south node in Pisces is urging us to emancipate ourselves from worn-out delusions that are preventing us from embracing the future and seeking the truth.

There are usually four eclipses in one year, coming in pairs. A Solar and a Lunar eclipse. Joining together parts of the puzzle and lessons learnt to usher us along our evolutionary journey.

Each eclipse brings a new lesson with it to learn and to master, it’s a chance to move up to the next level of our development, always building on and linking to the themes of the last eclipse.

Eclipses are some of the most dramatic tools that the universe uses to get us to pay attention to areas in our life that need to change. Especially then dramatic, when we have been living in denial and avoiding our inner truth.

They uproot us, surprise us, and get us moving at an accelerated pace so that we can move from one level of maturity to another, to a higher plane, and they work very rapidly. It often seems that during an eclipse our personal and spiritual development can suddenly accelerate at such a speed, that we suddenly develop and grow in areas that would have otherwise taken months or years.

During the last  Ecplise in Pisces on March 8th, truths were beginning to reveal themselves  to us. For some, these truths may have come as a sudden shock, while for others they are still slowly beginning to reveal themselves. We were all, however being kept to some extent in the dark, the Neptune fog blocking our path to see clearly. The two weeks since the last eclipse has felt for some like a transition period with no clear road signs showing the way ahead.

The Lunar Libra eclipse will now help us to see clearly, unveiling the path that lies ahead.

The eclipse and full moon in Libra are opposing the Sun in Aries. The Libra Aries Axis is about balancing the sense of we (Libra) against I am (Aries) it is about how we mirror and project, our needs and desires. The full moon in Libra is about finding the balance between the two.

Eclipses show as the truth, whether we are ready or not. We will be shown in no uncertain way just how this imbalance has been playing out in our lives, ultimately stunting and blocking our evolutionary path of development. The eclipse will reveal our real feelings, which have been hidden or repressed in our subconscious

The purpose and intent of the eclipse is to remove these roadblocks, setting the path free to develop to our true and highest (souls) purpose and potential.Correcting our course, where needed.

Holding on to our delusions is a natural method of self-protection that we learn in childhood. Our inner voice often tells us to face the truth but we often choose to ignore it. Believing it to be safer to hold onto our delusions, often not feeling strong enough to face the truth. So we bury it deep into our subconscious. This, however, is an oxymoron as inevitably the truth always comes to light breaking away the very foundations we believed to hold us safe.

Libra is often willing to sacrifice their own needs in order to be liked and accepted, preferring to keep the harmony. Finding it hard to be on their own and rarely asking themselves what their own wants and needs are. They are easily swayed and manipulated, leaving themselves wide open for Narcissistic personalities who are not interested in keeping a healthy balance of give and take but in getting their own needs met.

Learn to be alone and to like it. There is nothing more freeing and empowering than learning to like your own company.” -Mandy Hale.

Without self-love, we can become fearful and insecure and needy in a relationship. Needing constant proof of love, controlling and jealous, fearful of abandonment.

Or, the exact opposite can also be the case, people pleasing and codependency. While some choose to avoid the risk of beeing hurt avoiding and fearing intimate relationships altogether.

When you say yes to others, make sure you are not, saying no to yourself.
We have no guarantee that our relationships will be happy and enduring. But much of the fear of a relationship ending, becomes less, when we know we have a healthy sense of self-identity and self-love to fall back on, rather than completely losing ourselves in relationships leading to a complete breakdown when the relationship fails.

Aries can show us how to have a healthy ego as opposed to a false ego. One that is built on our inner truth, is authentic and without fear to walk our talk. One based on our true core self. Only then can we develop our full potential.

The false ego is built on a mask of pretense and delusion to ourselves and others about who we really are. The cause being a lack of healthy self-worth and self-love.

This Eclipse wants us to confront these issues. We are being asked to work on a healthy sense self of self-worth, self-love, and self-confidence. To be proud of who we really are and shine our light. We can only do this when we have self-acceptance and self-love. When we shine our light based upon our authentic self, we inspire people in such a way that a false ego never can. With this as your fundament nothing can shake or break it down. Whereas a false ego is built on sand, whose structures can crumble and fall by the slightest storm.

Once we learn to live from a healthy ego, everything begins to fall into place. We attract and are able to keep healthy friendships and relationships.

We are being asked to mature and redefine what love of self and others really means and to take responsibility for our actions.

Don’t fall in love, RISE in love.” “Immature people falling in love destroy each other’s freedom, create a bondage, make a prison. Mature persons in love help each other to be free; they help each other to destroy all sorts of bondages. And when love flows with freedom there is beauty…A mature person does not fall in love, he or she rises in love…Two mature persons in love help each other to become more free. There is no politics involved, no diplomacy, no effort to dominate. Only freedom and love.” ~Osho

Me too, I have these Libra traits. I keep looking for a breakthrough

  2. Maybe you will make a breakthrough now, as the themes of the Libra/Aries axis are especially potent with this eclipse, as there won’t be another ecplise on the Libra/Aries axis for another 9 years.

I did not see the eclipse but sure can feel it
